I grew up here in Midlothian, in a very water orientated family. I was swimming before I could walk and because of it I am more comfortable in the water than out of it. I did competitive swimming for as long as I could. My entire family is certified and I finally got certified on November 21, 2005 when I was in the 8th grade by Dave Hay. I immediately knew that this was the thing for me and I wanted to do this as much as possible.

Unfortunately life had other plans and I was lucky if I got to go once a year, but never gave up on the dream. When it came time to go to college I fought with the idea of going to a technical school instead of college, however my parents made me think otherwise and I ended up going to Jacksonville University in Jacksonville Florida.

There I got my degree in History and Geography, and helped start up the collegiate Shotgun team. While in college I did hardly any diving. Not saying I didn’t try, I just could not find the time or the money. Upon graduation and entering the job market I figured that I would try to get both a job in which I could use my degrees and my love for the water. After a lot of research I realized that I needed to be a higher caliber of diving. So I walked into Atlantis Divers one day asked if they were hiring and luckily they were. I am currently working my way up to Dive Master and couldn’t be happier with where I am right now in life.
